We inspire people to actively engage in their communities, and create innovative solutions to problems.
See how the Ethos Initiative is making a difference in communities through our various programs and events.
We’ve held large interfaith events to bring students of different faiths together for meals and productive dialogue.
Our small groups give students the opportunity to connect, discuss, and understand each other on a variety of topics that are relevant to the world today.
We partner with different organizations to help our local communities with different needs.
The Ethos Initiative was founded in 2023 as a student organization at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the goal of which was simple: Building bridges and creating understanding. The club started off with small group discussions and soon grew to include larger collaborations with organizations both on and off-campus that included both dialogue and service-based events.
The ultimate goal of the organization is to create stronger communities where we can listen and understand others of different backgrounds and perspectives. We include dialogue based events and discussions with the aim of examining ideas and creating civil discussions around a variety of topics. We also participate in community service aimed at not just helping those in need, but creating community while doing so. We believe that discourse and service with others whom we may have differences with leads to humanization that is necessary for our society.
There are many ways to join our mission and make a difference in your community. Choose the path that resonates with you.
We collaborate with like-minded organizations to amplify our impact and create stronger, more resilient communities.
